Practice format will be 1 hour of skills followed by 1 hour of game-play each week.

Performance Training Details:

Force Performance is the strength and speed provider for OP Lacrosse. We have been partners with OP Lacrosse since 2014 and have really enjoyed watching the girls grow from a mental and physical standpoint. In recent years the number of girls that attend our training sessions has grown, which is awesome. This summer I would really love to see more girls than ever in our sessions to really get after it and make a huge impact on their physical presence on the field.

Below is an overview of what we want to cover in our training sessions as well as our Performance Training Schedule. I always provide our schedule in case the team training day and time does not work for you or your athlete. Players are more than welcome to drop into any performance training session throughout the week.

One thing we would like to implemented this past year was having the girls train with their sticks. We would like to continue to do so. For the warm up and speed and agility portions of the training we will require that sticks are in their hands. We are hoping that this will continue to reinforce better hand eye coordination to translate to the speed of play.

60 minute training sessions

SESSION BREAK DOWN:

0-5 minutes: hip mobility + dynamic flex work

5-10 minutes: glutes, hip + hamstring activation

10-20 minutes: dynamic warm up (sticks)

20-30 minutes: speed + agility (sticks)

30-40 minutes: core + posture activation

40-60 minutes: strength work
